Capital Cell presents Synapse, a series of interviews with the best and brightest professionals in the worlds of life science, finance and entrepreneurship. The synapse is the structure that connects neurons in the nervous system, enabling the transmission of electric signals in the complex network that originates thoughts and ideas. With Synapse we want to do precisely that: create a network where ideas flow freely from the experts to the world.

Every month you will have the opportunity to see and listen to one of the exceptional professionals that have kindly chosen to share their knowledge and experience with Capital Cell. We will discuss every topic related to the Life Science and entrepreneurship worlds: innovation, funding, challenges and opportunities, cutting-edge research…

We are delighted to introduce our first guest, Professor Alan Barrell. Alan Barrell is a professor at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge and has spent almost 30 years in senior executive positions in technology based industries around the world. He is chairman of several early stage Life Science companies, and he was instrumental in the launching of the Cambridge Gateway Fund. He is a prolific author of  dozens of works, including his latest book Show Me The Money, in which he advises entrepreneurs on how to get funding and Capital Cell gets a brief mention. You can learn more about Professor Barrell in his website http://www.alanbarrell.com/.
